Glacier skiing I
Since its been a while since Ive been around , I thought I should share something great…..so here are a few images from my adventures last week in the French Alps.
These images were taken whilst skiing in Chamonix, the French Alps, from Aiguille des Grands Montets (3,295 m). The view is from skiing from the top of the Grands Montets cable car down over Glacier des Rognons, at the top of the Grands Montets, Argentiere, France.
Views down from the run are over the seracs of Glacier d’Argentiere. There was plenty of fresh snow & despite the dangers of crevasses & skiing on a glacier, it is truly worth every moment ….:-) even the frequent crashing in fresh powder ! Snow Beautiful snow !!
Glacier d’Argentiere flows 9 km northwest towards the valley of Chamonix, France just north of Mont Blanc and one valley north of the Mer de Glace.
